They are both CD-Rs and both of them work in her laptop and in my friends laptop, so the CDs are ok, its just when they go in my CD drive. The laptop makes a funny whirring noise like it cant read the CD. I have windows XP and I have windows media player and itunes which both work. Anybody got any ideas what the problem is. So dissembled the components ready to take it back and hopefully get a replacement, but then I read on a forum where someone has had the same problem. He says that when connected to his monitor via hdmi he couldnt access bios, switched to dvi and could. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I am wondering if it is worth the time reassembling to try. If anyone has this mobo please try accessing the bios while connected to a monitor via hdmi and let me know if they get any problems here.
